A Coalition of Sovereign Tribal Governments
The Great Plains Tribal Chairmen's Association represents Tribal Nations whose homelands span tens of millions of acres across the Northern Plains. These lands are held in trust by the United States and are governed by sovereign Tribal Nations with distinct treaty relationships.
Together, the Tribal Nations represented by GPTCA oversee vast lands that include critical natural resources, cultural sites, agricultural production, and infrastructure that supports Tribal citizens and surrounding rural communities.
